Returns & Exchanges

Every Fait à Main piece is made for you, one at a time, in our Houston studio. Because each one begins only when your order arrives, we ask that you choose with care, and we promise the same care in return.

Changes and cancellations

Within 24 hours of ordering, you may cancel or change your order for a full refund. After 24 hours your piece enters production and can no longer be canceled.

Monogrammed and custom pieces

Pieces carrying your initials, and every custom or personalized piece, are created for you alone. They are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Pieces without a monogram

You may return or exchange them within 14 days of delivery.

The piece must be unused and in its original packaging.
A $10 return fee applies to every return and exchange and is deducted from your refund.
Return shipping is paid by the client, and original shipping is not refundable. We recommend a tracked and insured service.

How to start a return

Sign in to your account with the email used for your order.
Open your order and select Request return.
Choose the piece and the reason, then submit.

You will receive an email with the next steps and your return instructions. Eligible pieces appear automatically; monogrammed and custom pieces do not.

If something is not right

If your piece arrives damaged or with a defect, request a return from your order within 7 days of delivery and add photos of the piece and its packaging. There is no return fee in this case. We will repair it, replace it or issue store credit. Each piece is handpainted, so small variations in paint and material are part of its character.

A note on timing

Pieces without a monogram ship in about 10 days. Monogrammed pieces are handpainted and ship in about 3 weeks. For gifts, please order with these times in mind.

How does the customization process work?

Submit your idea and estimated deadline. Within 24 hours, our atelier will provide a mock-up and pricing. Once approved, we begin creating your bespoke piece.

How long does customization take?

Timelines vary depending on complexity. Simple monograms may take 3–5 days, while detailed designs can require 2–3 weeks. We’ll confirm timing before starting.

Can I see a design before it’s painted?

Yes — every project includes a digital mock-up for your review and approval before we begin.

What products can be customized?

We specialize in luxury hand bags and small leather goods but never limit our creativity. We hand paint canvas tennis bags and other items as well.

Is customized merchandise final sale?

Yes — all customized items are final sale since they are one-of-a-kind and created specifically for you.
